  • We offer the flexibility for our patients to tailor how they use this modality - either through one session followed by discussions about insights gleaned from it or multiple sessions interspersed with talk therapy. Generally speaking, 1-6 visits are recommended but there's no set limit; more might be necessary depending on individual circumstances!

  • $350 for a 90-minute intake, and $250 per hour for ongoing sessions.

  • I am an out-of-network provider and don’t bill insurance for treatment. If the cost of counseling seems out of reach, we can explore the following options:

    Use pre-tax dollars. Did you know that you can use your Health Savings or Flexible Spending Accounts to pay for counseling?

    Some insurance companies may partially reimburse you for my services as an out-of-network provider. I can provide a “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. That means you’ll pay the session fees at the time of our appointment and, depending on your plan, a certain percentage of that may be paid to you by your insurance company. I recommend calling the customer service number on the back of your insurance card to find out what reimbursement will look like for an out-of-network provider.

  • We accept debit, credit, HSA, or FSA cards. Payment is processed at the time of service.

  • If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you will be charged for the full rate of the session.

  • We offer both online and in-person sessions. My office is located in the Houston Heights area.

  • Prioritize self-care before your appointment to set yourself up for success. Clear your schedule for the day and schedule sessions later in the day if you have many obligations. Brain processing can be tiring, so transition carefully back into work mode after your appointment. You may even want to ask a loved one to pick you up, driving immediately after brainspotting sessions can be jarring.

    Sleep plays a significant role in self-care for brain processing. Avoid caffeine or alcohol the night before as they can both interfere with sleep. Instead, consider taking melatonin to help you stay relaxed and sleep restfully.

    Mental and physical health go hand in hand, so incorporate some form of exercise into your routine before your appointment. Remember to drink plenty of water during the day to stay hydrated. Choose the right trauma care in Houston, Texas by thinking about all aspects of your self-care.
